On July 23rd I’ll be running the Your Blooming Business Challenge! It’s 7 days of tasks that will help you get laser-focused on social media for your handmade business. You’ll get clear on how your current posts are doing, which posts work the best (and which ones don’t), and how you can increase your followers and engagement.
As you wait to start the challenge, it’s a good idea to review some of the tips I’ve given in the past so you can hit the ground running. Here’s a round up of my posts on social media - have fun prepping for the challenge and keep an eye out for the challenge sign up!
Here's a list of the recommended blog posts, and then I go into detail about each one below:
If you’re not yet on social media for your business, this is a great place to start! Part of my Business Basics Bootcamp, this post will take you through deciding which social media platforms are right for your business, and how to get started on each one.
In another free blog series, Pivot to Profit, I guide you through steps you can take to increase profits with your online business. Social media is definitely part of that process, but it can be incredibly time consuming.
In the first post, I guide you through setting up a content calendar. It will greatly reduce the amount of time you spend creating content for your social channels, and will also help you focus your posts and create engaging content that your followers will love.
In the second post about batching your content, we get even more focused on reducing your time spent on creating content. I’m a big fan of batching your work and I think this is probably one of the most important posts to read!
The final piece of the puzzle, after creating your content calendar and batching your work, is to schedule your content to post so you don’t need to do it manually every day.
Also take a look at my post about scheduling tools!
In the digital world, it's more important than ever to show up as your authentic self. Your followers want to get to know you, not some perfect image you think they want to see.
In this post I talk about the importance of authenticity and how it will help you build the best audience for your business.
If you truly want social media to work for you, you need to know what’s working. Instagram Insights can give you valuable information about your posts and your audience.
Learn how to use Insights to improve your content and learn more about your followers.
Once you’ve mastered how to read your Insights, it’s time to create a social media audit for your business. This is a monthly exercise that will help you create a strategy for your content that will get you results.
